Everything you need to know about GTO Range Trainer. Can't find an answer? Contact us.
GTO Range Trainer is a browser-based Texas Hold’em study tool. Recreate a practice hand by entering positions, stacks, cards and actions, or use Training Mode to work through randomized scenarios.
Study GTO-based recommendations, estimated equity and explanations between games. It does not connect to poker platforms or read your screen.
GTO stands for Game Theory Optimal — a strategy approach in poker that is theoretically unexploitable. A GTO player makes decisions based on balanced ranges rather than exploitative guesses, meaning opponents cannot gain an edge simply by adjusting their strategy.
Learning GTO concepts helps you build a solid strategic foundation, understand why certain plays are correct, and recognize deviations that can be exploited over time.
No, and we will never claim that it does. GTO Range Trainer is strictly an educational training tool. It provides GTO-based recommendations to help you understand correct strategy — it does not guarantee any particular results at the table.
Poker involves skill, variance, and many other factors. The trainer gives you feedback and explanations as you practice.
No. GTO Range Trainer is a study and practice tool for learning Game Theory Optimal poker strategy. It does not involve real-money wagering, it does not process bets, and it is not a gambling platform — it's an educational application for understanding correct decision-making, much like a chess study tool.
The trainer is intended for adults 18 and older. We believe learning the theory behind the game should always come with a healthy, responsible mindset. If you choose to play poker elsewhere, please do so responsibly and within your means.
If you or someone you know may have a gambling problem and wants help, confidential support is available 24/7 — call 1-800-GAMBLER.
The trainer currently supports Texas Hold'em in both Cash Game and MTT (tournament) formats. It includes GTO preflop range tables for:
Opening ranges, 3-bet responses, and 4-bet response trees are all included. Postflop guidance uses Monte Carlo equity simulation against full opponent ranges with board-texture awareness.
You can browse the site and purchase on your phone. The trainer is optimized for desktop and laptop use, with a full card picker, action buttons and analysis panels that benefit from a larger screen.
Use a modern browser for your practice sessions. No installation is required.
Basic: $99 one-time is the required base license. It includes the core trainer, preflop ranges, estimated equity, pot-odds analysis, bet sizing and Training Mode. There is no recurring trainer fee.
Diamond Club: optional $49/month adds a session logger, range overlays, a custom range editor and expanded saved hand history. It requires the base license. Buying both costs $148 today, then $49/month until cancelled. You can add Diamond later from your dashboard.
Upgrading preserves the saved history currently retained on your account. Basic accounts retain the latest 500 hands.
Older hands that have already been removed by the Basic retention limit are not restored when you upgrade.
You can cancel future Diamond Club renewals from your account dashboard. Cancelling the add-on does not remove your purchased base trainer license.

Each account is licensed for a single user on their personal devices. You can access GTO Range Trainer from your desktop, laptop, or any device you personally own. Account sharing — allowing another person to use your credentials — is not permitted under our Terms of Service.
No. The trainer does not read your screen, inject code or connect to a poker platform. You enter the scenario yourself.
Use it for practice and hand review between games. Platform rules vary; running a tool in a separate window does not make in-game assistance permitted by every poker site.
The basic setup takes under a minute:
Try the guided demo for an introduction to the workflow.
The trainer includes keyboard shortcuts for fast one-handed action entry:
The trainer estimates equity using approximately 4,000 Monte Carlo samples per calculation. Results depend on the cards, ranges and assumptions entered and can vary between simulations.
Its recommendations combine preflop range tables with postflop heuristics and equity estimates. It is a study aid, not a full game-tree solver or a guarantee of an optimal decision in every situation.
GTO Range Trainer runs in any modern web browser and requires no installation. Supported browsers include:
Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. An internet connection is required to log in and sync session data; once loaded, the trainer itself runs fully client-side and can withstand brief connection interruptions.
Saved hand history is associated with your account. Basic accounts retain the latest 500 hands; Diamond Club provides expanded history. Upgrading preserves the saved history that is still retained on your account.
Custom ranges are saved in your browser. Keep a copy of important study work, and contact support if you have questions about your data.
